We apologize to our avid followers for going almost two days without a post. We hope today's entries will make it up for that.
We were discharged from the hospital yesterday (Dec 23) around noon. As we gleefully drove away from the hospital, a very flat tire announced its presence! You would think that driving home 1 mile would not be a problem, but we were stuck. It was about 15 degrees and snowing, and we had to pull over on a busy road without much space to park. And we had a newborn and a woman who could barely walk. So changing the tire didn't seem appealing. We called Daniel's parents, who were back at the house with our other car, and they came to rescue us (and the car was rescued by AAA a few hours and one lame parking ticket later -- we are so going to contest that ticket).
Aside from that hiccup, everything has been great in the past day. Eve has slept and nursed beautifully, and Martha is feeling better. Daniel's parents have been extremely helpful (and his mom cooked a great meal last night!).
We are ready to celebrate the holiday with the best present we could ever wish for.

What are Grandma and Grampa Eisenberg called? I think Oma's name has officially been changed by Samuel to Elmo. Opa's name remains the same. Much love to you and your girls, and to the Eisenberg family. And yes, I'm an avid follower! P.S. It looks like Martha's milk came in....WOW!
