Eve's class visited the fire station

Here is a brief window into the joys and challenges of having a baby sister. This is also a good example of Eve's love for role-playing--in this scene, she is the baby and Ella is the mom (though one could argue how well she is playing that role).

first Easter egg hunt

My colleague Daniel Lee and his wife Celeste hosted a wonderful brunch that included an Easter egg hunt for the little ones.

We don't know Ella's secret yet, though we usually don't need one.

Gwyneth already getting publicity

Baby Gwyneth was chosen to be featured in this ad.  Her expression conveys the appropriate level of skepticism (whereas the other baby just looks completely out of it).

Ella is going through a temperamental phase.  Her desires have outgrown her ability to communicate by a degree that makes her burst into tears several times a day.  It’s mostly tiring and unnerving, but occasionally funny (when the tantrum is so obviously an attempt to get something that she doesn’t really need).  Fortunately she’s very happy and fun when she’s not throwing her mini-fits. Meanwhile, we've enjoyed talking with Eve on an increasingly adult level.  She’s reached the age of noticing differences between boys and girls, and refers to boys’ parts as “peanuts” (especially now that she knows the giggles that provokes).
