This past weekend we celebrated Martha's birthday! On Saturday we went to an outstanding restaurant in Ventabren, and on Sunday we visited Avignon (Palais des Papes and Le Pont D'Avignon). The restaurant was the type of place where we can't bring the girls yet--like most nice restaurants in France, it is exceptionally quiet, whereas Eve and Ella are exceptionally loud. After the weekend Martha was inspired to make her own magret de canard (our favorite course at the restaurant), and it came out very well.

I think I prefer the look of Martha's dish - more substance! :)
